oikos is the greek word for "household" or "family".

Whether part of a church or not, today's families are being attacked in so many ways:

• The divorce rate is sky high.
• Children are falling prey to Internet bullies and predators.
• Families do not live with an identity or a purpose.
• Grown adults who are trying to parent and have a successful marriage are being hindered by their own parents over stepping their bounds.
• Children struggle with boundaries with so much technology at their fingertips.
• Couples seem to be giving up on the commitments they have made to their spouses at the least little things.
• Single moms and dads (couples even) are spent day after day after day, as they pursue all areas of life, leaving them with little to no hope of being a success as a parent.
• Empty nest parents struggle with purpose and relating to one another now that all their children have left the house.
• & the list goes on and on and on.

oikos: THE CONFERENCE, is designed to strengthen families so that they will be able to thrive in a world that seeks to destroy them and to live to bring glory to God. November 13 & 14 could be the two days your family has been waiting for to have hope, peace, purpose, & LIFE breathed back into it again.

The set up is simple, You have 3 Main sessions and 3 lab sessions. Here's what could happen:

• Single parents will be able to receive help from a person that has lived life as a single parent.
• Grandparents will have a chance to hear how they can remain relevant and influential in their role as a parent to grown kids and as a grandparent.
• Children will have a blast as they are taught the role of a child in the family and how to bring God glory as a child of the King.
• Students will receive information that will protect them as they navigate through all the technology that bids for their time and attention.
• Singles, although not having a "family of their own", will be able to grow in their pursuit to protect and run their household with holiness, purpose, and mission.
• & much , much more!

These two days will offer something for everyone who is part of a family and has a role of some kind in a household. So from the youngest to the oldest, come, allow your household/family to be strengthened for the glory of God!
